As someone who basically lives in bikinis year round here in Hawaii, I found Bombshell Bay to be very comfortable and exceptionally made. I had abdominal surgery several weeks ago and am still quite sore and sensitive. I was able to pull on my suit and wear it for a whole afternoon with no discomfort whatsoever.
I love that this suit is double lined, so getting in and out of the water is no problem. It can be quite frustrating when you are using a suit that doesn’t stay where it needs to or reveals more than it should once it gets wet!
The high waist is a perfect length. It is so flattering. It hugs all the places you want hugged, and covers all those bits you don’t feel like flaunting. And the color! It is absolutely stunning.
I have been on the pageant scene for years. Starting from when I was too young to even remember. Often one of the hardest parts of prepping for my pageants was finding the perfect swimsuit. It had to be just the right cut, it had to fit flawlessly and not slowly slip into or off of any of the areas I placed it. The material had to be top quality, and the color needed to be striking and immediately catch your eye.
If I was still competing in swimwear for pageants, this would one thousand percent be my suit of choice. I have held multiple titles in the pageant world throughout my time competing. In 2001 I held the title of Miss Alaska Teen All American, and in 2010 I won the title of Mrs. Honolulu, and Mrs. Hawaii International. For all of my pageants, not only those in which I won a title, I would have been so proud to wear and represent Bombshell Bay Swimwear every single time.
I love the heart behind this company. Sometimes though, especially with clothing, companies have a great vision to make something sustainable or eco-friendly, and the product itself falls very, very short. This company has a fantastic purpose, and they knock their product out of the park. They have created an exceptionally well made, comfortable, flattering, and gorgeous swimwear line, while supporting an incredible cause.
With research from recent years revealing the growing need for society to move towards more sustainable, ocean-friendly manufacturing practices, choosing sustainable swimwear is the perfect way for you to do your part. Buy less, buy better.
