Skin care has always been a major passion of mine. In another life, aka before kids took over, I worked for several years at an Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa. Working there inspired me to go to esthetician school so that I could become a licensed skin care professional. I was thrilled to receive my package from Bèselan Botanicals. It contained the Soothe Massage Oil, the Calm Salve, and a beautifully packaged gift box containing the Soothe, Calm, and Pure massage oils with the corresponding salves. The Calm line is designed to calm and tame redness, itching, and skin irritation. It also works great to help tame irritation from extended mask wearing and hand washing. (Can I get a 2020 hallelujah?) It has a wonderful, clean scent that brings me right back to those days working at the spa.
The Soothe line helps to alleviate pain and inflammation while nourishing your skin, and the Pure line is formulated for relief and hydration without the extra essential oils for sensitive skin. They use whole herbs in all of their formulas, and all ingredients are food grade for natural absorption. How’s that for feeding your body’s largest organ!
Not only do these products smell amazing, they absorbed into my skin marvelously. I have used body oils in the past that felt like they just sat on top of my skin (which given the ingredients in some of them is probably a good thing) and it left this greasy film. The Bèselan Botanicals products soaked right in and left my skin feeling so soft and nourished. It’s not surprising considering they are created using ingredients like Raw Organic Shea Butter, Raw Organic Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Vitamin E Oil, and various Essential Oils.
