I was not sure what to expect when I received Puffworks Organic Peanut Butter Puffs. Peanut butter, on puffs? But as soon as we opened the bags – wow! I can tell you there were some seriously loud happy sounds ringing throughout my home, especially from my boys.
We decided to do a puff-tasting picnic to figure out which flavor we liked best. Puffworks Organic Peanut Butter Puffs come in four flavors: Original, Dark Chocolate, Honey and Strawberry PB&J. They also have grab-and-go sizes in three of these flavors (or as a variety pack so you can get a taste for which one is your favorite!).
As soon as my boys opened a bag they gasped. I laughed at them and then opened the Strawberry PB&J, and I gasped! I cannot fully explain the explosion of glorious scent that wafted into my life at that very moment. It had a more believable Strawberry PB&J aroma than a real Strawberry PB&J. How is that possible? We were all so excited to dig in and taste these puffs of Heaven that changed our lives at very first sniff.
The taste and texture of all their flavors were so pleasing. The flavor profile for each specific puff was perfectly balanced. I was somewhat expecting them to be too sweet because I figured that was why they smelled so good, but they were flavor perfection- not filled with sweetness and artificial taste. You can taste each genuine flavor – especially the peanut butter. In fact, the Original flavor is simply peanuts, corn, and sea salt. Almost too good to be true!
It was hard to pick a favorite! If asked to choose our favorite, we would grab every single bag and run off with them before you could say another word. The thing I love most is that these are not only delicious, but they have simple, healthy ingredients and contain either no or very minimal added sugar. Plus, their products are USDA-Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project verified, and Gluten-Free. Snacks like these are so hard to come by, at least ones that truly taste good.
And while my boys are grown, Puffworks also offers a product to help parents introduce peanuts early: Puffworks baby organic peanut butter puffs. The ingredients are the same as their Original (peanut butter on a baked corn puff with a touch of sea salt) but they are softer compared to their other puffs, so they dissolve easer (so babies don’t choke!) and are also lower in-sodium. I only wish there had been a product like this when I was introducing my boys to allergenic foods when they
were babies.
