Being a working mom can be difficult at times, especially when you are plus sized. You constantly struggle with the idea of spending money on yourself instead of your kids, and the fact that plus sized clothes cost more does not help.
Being plus sized makes it difficult to find clothing for being a working professional. My dress code is business professional. I’m sure many of you would agree with me, the moment the word ‘business’ is added to the description, the price sky rockets.
My experience with Shop With Shari really did not feel like I was taking money away from my kids. I was able to find pieces that were both versatile and very reasonable in price. I was able to get items that worked for day to day life, no matter the situation. I was able to mix and match pieces and create some looks that are great for relaxing and for work!
My first favourite outfit that I created was the one pictured above. This purple dress feels so soft on my skin and it can easily be dressed up or down. Now, it may be a bit short for my liking, but I can always add a pair of tights or leggings to it.
This navy blazer is also to die for. It isn’t the typical stiff blazer material you find everywhere. The material is so stretchy and comfortable. This outfit together is great for me to wear to work and not have to worry about being criticized for not being dressed professional enough.
My second favourite outfit that I created was the one I created above. These tie pants are so comfortable it is remarkable! I can’t believe how dress pants can be this comfortable. The top is actually the black dress you see below.
I tucked it in as much as I could into the pants to make it seem like a black top. I actually love the dress; it has pockets! I never realized that long sleeve dresses could be so comfortable! The length is even comfortable for me, but for work I would still wear tights or leggings with it. The sweater I added to this ensemble took my breath away. The moment I took it out of the box I squealed! I absolutely love this shade of yellow. It isn’t too bright or too dark; it’s just beautiful!
