Pecan Oil… I never thought I needed Pecan Oil in my life- other than in a pie once in a blue moon. But the prime feature in all of Nuez Acres products is Pecan Oil. It’s what my body needed.
I’ve had the opportunity to use products from Nuez Acres and my world is changed. I didn’t know dry skin could so easily be a thing of the past. I didn’t know I could enjoy showers enough to prioritize them everyday.
The products from Nuez Acres introduce our bodies to a product not commonly used on our skin, pecans.
Here are the owners of Nuez Acres Nancy and Anthony to tell us more about their products:
1. Can you describe the season in which Nuez Acres was created? What led to the discovery of using pecan oil to benefit our bodies?
I grew up in Chihuahua, Mexico the second largest pecan producer in the world, so I have always known the benefits of peak oil for skin hair and overall health.
Unlike many beauty brands, our story started on the farm. I grew up in Mexico running through orchard rows and climbing trees to pick pecans by hand. Growing nuts was a way of life, and my family took pride in farming with traditional, organic methods that bring out the best flavor and quality in our crops.
Organic pecan oil has always been part of my self-care routine, and it’s one of the industry’s best-kept beauty secrets. The oil has a unique ability to soften and strengthen with antioxidants, vitamin E, vitamin A, proteins, and healthy fats. I didn’t truly appreciate the power of pure pecan oil until I moved away from home and lost access to farm-fresh bottles. Now, I want to share it with the world.
My husband Anthony and I met in Canada and started our own family here, raising our son and daughter in Langley, BC. His family’s indigenous roots are just as important to us as my Mexican farming heritage, and we are committed to uplifting both communities with sustainable business practices.
Nuez Acres came to us when there was a trade war between United States and China that caused a side effect on my family’s pecan farm when pricing for products such as pecans we’re plummeting. We saw my father’s hard work (along with many local families in and around my state) not being sold for a price that reflect the work that was being put in. So we’ve tried to figure out a different way.
Looking around we noticed everyone was just selling pecans or pecan pie and looking further we noticed only a few companies in America were producing pecan oil. The final look into our country Canada, we found that there was no pecan oil being sold in Canada. We are also Canada’s only indigenous pecan oil producer. All of this together helped form the company we know today as Nuez Acres

2. What can customers anticipate with regular use of pecan oil on their bodies?
They can expect their skin to feel very hydrated, nourished and healthy. Pecan oil is full of vitamins like A,E,D and minerals such as, zinc, magnesium and iron. Most people that use our products don’t need to use any other products such as moisturizers or lotions. Our products are also safe for all ages, including children.
Customers can also expect to feel peace of mind knowing the products they are using are clean products, free of any toxic ingredients for their body and the environment.
3. What is one product you would recommend to a tired and busy mom?
Our best seller Repair Serum! It will provide a deep hydration while repairing the skin. Plus, bergamot and pecan oil are anti-inflammatory so they are great for puffy eyes!! Also, our Hair serum will help tame that frizzy hair, repair damaged and dry hair, and it’s very simple to use! Just add a couple of drops to wet hair after washing it!

4. The lash serum is one in particular that’s drawn my attention. Lash serums aren’t commonly used by women, just mascara with all its additives to make our lashes look fake. But what are we missing out on when not including a lash serum in the day to day care of our lashes?
Lashes just like hair, tend to fall so it is important to maintain them strong and hydrated. Pecan Oil has a lot of vitamins and minerals, that provides the lash hair with strength, and also promotes growth and thickness of the hair. It is recommended to use it at night time after removing the make-up. There is no need to wash it off!

5. I see Nuez Acres also has Pecan Meal Flour, how do you use this and what are the benefits?
We do have a Pecan Meal; however, it is now sold out until next harvest! We do also have our phenomenal Culinary Pecan Oil which is full of Omegas, very low on saturated fats, and very high smoke point which helps retain and enhance food flavors, and keep the food from burning. Our 25-35 year old customers are getting the benefits of Pecan Oil by ingesting it, and our 35-50 year old customers are getting the benefits by applying it on their skin!
6. Especially as an Indigenous owned business, what sets Nuez Acres apart from other large brand skin care businesses?
Our products begin in the farm! We are in charge of our products from seed to bottle, which is very rare now. We don’t use any chemicals, preservatives, sulfates, or any other toxic ingredients found in many beauty brands!
All of our products contain 4 or less ingredients that are 100% natural. We also manufacture everything ourselves, including the Pecan Oil! We are a zero-waste company, as we use 100% of the nut.
