Make Breakfast Easy & Healthy with Torill’s Table Gluten-free And Original Waffle & Pancake Mixes


If you’re a mom like me, making waffles or pancakes from scratch in the morning can be a daunting task. The kids are hungry and whining and you’re rushing to get everyone ready for the day, while trying to find time to chug your coffee before it gets cold.

I tried Torill’s Table Waffle & Pancake Mix and it took the stress out of making waffles (or pancakes) from scratch. Each bag comes with 2 types of recipes you can choose from: Norwegian Waffle, or Belgian Waffle, and also has a gluten free Waffle Mix!

The Original Waffle & Pancake Mix is made with ingredients like unbleached flour, whole wheat flour, oats, almonds, flax, cardamom and vanilla. The Gluten-Free Waffle & Pancake Mix has ingredients like rice flour, almond flour, oats, flax, vanilla and cardamom.

First we tried the regular bag and made the Belgian Waffles recipe. They were amazing! They were soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The flavour didn’t disappoint either! My kids ate 2 round waffles each! (Normally they eat half of 1).

The next day we tried the gluten free Norwegian Waffles recipe. When I think “gluten free”, I think sand papery, cardboard with grains like sand textured. But this was the complete opposite- it had flavour and an amazing “waffly” texture. It was buttery (even though there was no butter in them), fluffy and airy.

My kid’s were hesitant at the beginning because it looked a bit different than the regular waffles (they had delicious flax seed flakes, that only a 4 year old and 2 year old would notice). But after they had the first bite, they couldn’t stop eating them.

When I would make waffles previously, I’d have lots left over to freeze. But these were so good that there were no leftovers.

All in all these waffles left us feeling full, happy and with extra time on our hands thanks to how simple they were to make!
