I am Kyler – a 35 year old proud homeschooling mom of 4 crazy boys. Broden (14), Jedediah (12), Canaan (10), and Rizzolo (8). I was born in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley of Californina, grew up in Eagle River, Alaska, moved to Hawaii in 2004 where I met my husband, and recently relocated to Bremerton, Washington. I’ve been a single mom, suffered through a miscarriage, worked as a barista, receptionist, video editor, waitress, pastor… I currently work part time for our church as the 1st-5th grade kids director and do some writing on the side. But my main job is being mom and teacher to my boys.
My parenting style is to treat our family as a team. Adventure together, learn together, fail together, rejoice together. As homeschoolers we have the benefit of more time and we always try to make the most of it. I believe in not trying to be perfect but always knowing when and how to apologize. Communication to me is the most important thing. I feel so strongly that as women, wives, mothers, we have the incredible position to be able to relate to one another and be real about our struggles and our triumphs in order to lift one another up. There is so much power in knowing you are not alone in this!
